The Shipyard have been drawn away to Lochee United in the 1st Preliminary Round of the William Hill Scottish Cup following the draw at Hampden park today. Lochee gained entry into the competition by virtue of winning the East Region Junior Super League last season. The Dundee based outfit are sure to provide a stern test for the Shippy when the teams clash on Saturday 10th August 2019. The winners will be at home to either Lothian Thistle HV or Wigtown and Bladnoch with that tie scheduled for Saturday 31st August 2019. Both these clubs are known to the Shipyard, in particular Lothian Thistle who are a fellow East of Scotland League team. Wigtown are no strangers either as the clubs met in the 2007 competition at Trammondford Park with the Shippy coming out on top, winning 5-3.
