The Shipyard completed their pre-season programme with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Kinnoull JFC at Recreation Park on Saturday. It was a good moral boosting win for Grant Brough’s squad following last week’s disappointing result and performance against Glenrothes JFC. Once again it was testing conditions for the players as the mercury rose, with the hard underfoot conditions not helping either. Youngster Reece Brown stole the show as he scored a hat-trick against the Perth Juniors and he will have put himself at the forefront of the managers thoughts as the competitive stuff gets underway next week.

With next week’s opponents Dunipace not having completed their ground improvements the League Cup match will now take place at Recreation Park, Burntisland. Kick off 2.30pm.
