Shippy kick-off league campaign with a trip to the Oriam to face Heriot Watt University.
The East of Scotland League will kick off on Saturday (10/10/2020) with the Shipyard making the short journey across the bridge to face Heriot Watt University at the Oriam. The long-awaited return to football is, unfortunately, not straight forward as many restrictions and protocols remain in place. Under no circumstances, at the time of writing, will spectators be allowed to attend matches and with that in mind, the Club urges all supporters not to travel to Riccarton at the weekend. Hopefully, this situation will change soon as talks and canvasing continues behind the scenes as the pyramid leagues join forces as they look to the government and football authorities to lift the restrictions.
The Shipyard are in Conference B for the campaign that lies ahead and face one of the expected favourites for the title. Excellently coached by the experienced Banji Koya the students are generally there or there abouts in any given season and the Shippy boys will have to be at their best to bring the points back to Burntisland. Kick-off is at 3pm and updates will be available via the club twitter account and the EoSFL website latest scores page.
