Cap call eases agony of cup defeat.
The club was delighted to learn that Ryan Stewart has been selected to play for the S.Y.F.A. Scotland U/15 team against Australia on Saturday 23rd November. The match will take place at the Torryglen Complex next to Hampden Park, with the match kicking off at 10am. Everyone at the Shipyard is extremely proud of his achievement and would like to wish Ryan all the best on the day. This news certainly lifted the gloom hanging over Costy’s squad after their disappointing exit from the Scottish Cup at the hands of Larkhall Thistle. Having led 4-1 with around twelve minutes remaining the young Shipyard boys lost their concentration and allowed Larkhall to draw level and take the match to penalties. Although Scott Costello managed to save the first two kicks, Larkhall went on to win the shoot out 3-1 and progress to the next round.
