On Wednesday evening the Shipyard welcome one of the most famous names in Scottish football to Recreation Park. Although not the first team, a Hibernian side will be here in competitive action in a Qualifying League Cup match. This we believe is the first time that Hibs have visited Burntisland and all at the club look forward to welcoming them. They will join a long list of Scottish League clubs that have visited Recreation Park for a competitive match, a list that includes Celtic, Dumbarton, Montrose and Berwick Rangers on Scottish Cup duty and Cowdenbeath, Dunfermline, East Fife and Raith Rovers in the Fife Cup. Hopefully the town will come out in force to watch this match and all the local Hibs fans can come along and see the possible stars of the future for their club.
Entry to the match is £3 for adults and £1 for children. There will also be a match programme printed as usual for the game. The match kicks off at 7pm.
