Shipyard signings add depth to squad.
Despite the recent poor weather over the last couple of weeks, leading to the postponement of matches, Shipyard manager Grant Brough has been far from inactive as he has added no fewer than six players to his squad. Forward Sean Johnstone has arrived from Rosyth FC, defender Ross Lennie has joined the Shippy from Dundonald Bluebell. Meanwhile, Hamish Thomson, Harris Kay, Callum Watt and Lyle Kellichan have all joined the Shipyard on loan from the Cowdenbeath U/20 Squad. Johnstone, Lennie, Thomson and Kay all played in last night’s friendly win over Kirkcaldy YM.
Manager Brough expressed his delight at the recruitment of the new arrivals when he said “I am pleased to get all these boys on board as we move into the second half of the season. Both the first team and Under/20 squads were a bit light, however, adding these players, who all offer something different, will give us the strength in depth we are looking for”.
