The draw for the South of Scotland Challenge Cup has handed the Shipyard another meeting with Edinburgh City. The first round tie is due to be played at Meadowbank Stadium on Saturday 22nd September. The clubs met at the same stage last season, though that match was played at Burntisland. The winner of the tie will be away to either Vale of Leithen or Ormiston in the second round. Manager Billy Whitehead said of the draw “We gave a good accoumt of ourselves when we drew with City recently in the League Cup tie. The players enjoyed playing at such a fine venue then and will do so again. It’s a match everyone at the club will relish”.
