Shippy players feel the heat.
The pre-season build up for the Shipyard players continued in gruelling conditions as they had to contend with a hard-bumpy pitch and high temperatures as the sun shone down on King George V Park in Leven.
The Shippy went down 2-1 to Kennoway Star Hearts and it was the nature of the two goals conceded that would have troubled manager Grant Brough more than anything else. The second goal in particular would give any manager cause for concern, with a corner kick allowed to bounce through the six-yard box before being tapped home at the back post. Scott Powrie scored the Shipyard goal when he got on the end of a Callum McAulay cross and rolled the ball in at the back post.
