Shipyard 1 Falkland 1
The Shipyard and Falkland played out a 1-1 draw in this hastily arranged friendly at Recreation Park yesterday as both teams took the chance to give their developing squads a bit more game time. Prior to kick off both teams respectfully observed a minutes silence in memory of the victims of the Colombian air disaster.
A mistake from Cammy Lambie gifted the visitors the lead in the first half however Ewan Fotheringham headed the equaliser from a corner in the second half. It hasn’t been said often this season but the Shipyard were guilty of wastefulness if front of goal as they passed up several decent opportunities, particularly in the second half, to get the win their domination deserved.
Next Saturday (10th December) the Shipyard make the short trip across the Forth to face Lothian Thistle HV at Saughton Enclosure, kick off 2.00pm.
