The Shipyard U/20’S have been paired with Motherwell in the draw for the 3rd round of the SFA Youth Cup which was made at Hampden Park today.

The trip to Lanarkshire is their reward for seeing off Livingston in the previous round and they are sure to face a huge task against the Premiership club who won the trophy as recently as 2016, beating Hearts in the final at the National Stadium. On hearing the draw coach Chris Maxwell said “You enter these competitions in the hope of getting a tie against Premiership opposition. To be playing a team such as Motherwell is fantastic for the boys. Who would have thought that barely a dozen games into our existence we have a game of this magnitude to look forward to”.

The match is scheduled to take place on or before Sunday 29th October 2017.
