The Shipyard youngsters came back from their winter shut down in some style when they defeated Pittenweem by 7-0 in a league match on Sunday 10th February. Kieran Jack and Craig Watt both helped themselves to hat-tricks with Ewan Sutherland netting the other. There was disappointment for the boys this week as they were defeated on penalties by St John’s in the Fife Cup. Jack Penny scored the Shipyard goal as the game finished 1-1 after normal time. Coach David Costello was philosophical afterwards and said “We had a good chance near the end to win it however, it was not to be. That was our first defeat in Fife so far this season, albeit on penalties, so I can’t be too disappointed”. The boys return to league action next week with a home match against Blue Brazil. The kick-off is at 10am.
