The Shipyard turned in a woeful defensive performance in the second half at Recreation Park to let their half-time lead slip as Eastvale ran out comfortable winners in the end. Cupar edge Shipyard in thriller.

The Shipyard lost for the first time in eight league games as Cupar Hearts recorded a narrow 2-1 win at Recreation Park. The game finished in almost total darkness with the Shipyard pressing hard for an equaliser, however, Cupar held on to take the three points. Shoot out agony for Shipyard

The Shipyard lost out in the cruellest of fashions, going out of the Scottish Brewers Cup on penalties to Lumphinnans after dominating the 90 minutes, only being denied by some excellent goalkeeping. Manager Whitehead made two changes to the team from last week with Cook and Russell replacing T.Williams and Dow. The Shipyard bowed out of the Fife Cup after an extra-time defeat to Dalgety Bay in a match that could have been wrapped up by half-time, such was the dominance that the Shipyard had. The Shipyard stretched their unbeaten run to 5 games after earning a deserved point in a 1-1 draw at Strathmiglo. The game was switched to Strathmiglo after Recreation Park was deemed unplayable on Friday afternoon. Football finally returned to Recreation Park on Saturday, as the Shipyard came out of cold storage, albeit thanks to Inverkeithing kindly agreeing to swap the fixture to Burntisland. The pitch was in fine condition with only the goalmouths a bit on the firm side.
