The Shippy finished their pre-season with a game against Kelty Hearts U/20’s at New Central Park on Saturday. Unfortunately, the referee had to abandon the match with five minutes remaining due to a neck injury picked up by one one the young Kelty players. Hopefully the young man in question makes a full and speedy recovery, with everyone at the Shipyard wishing him well. The Shippy were 3-0 ahead when play was halted thanks to goals from Ben Anthony, Sam Glancy and Nathan Feeley. The league campaign begins next Saturday as we host Lochore Welfare at Recreation Park with the kick-off at 2.30pm. Admission to the match is £7 for adults and £4 for concessions. Under 16’s go free.
