Shipyard appoint Dave Costello.

Costy comes back to take manager’s position.

Following the resignation of Stuart Innes as manager the Club has moved swiftly to replace him by appointing Dave Costello as his successor. “Costy” needs no introduction to followers of the Shippy with him having played for the Club over two previous occasions, winning many trophies during both spells and he coached his Shipyard 99’s group to unprecedented success in Fife youth football. Club Chairman Andy MacDougall expressed his delight at the appointment and said “I am pleased that Costy has accepted the job. He is a local lad who knows the club inside out, he brings plenty of experience and importantly for me, he has that winning mentality that I’m confident he will instil into his squad.”

Dave is a full-time coach working for Fife Council and has a wealth of coaching experience behind him. He will be assisted by Ross Gallacher who is stepping up from player to coach. Ross has experience behind him having managed Lochgelly Albert before joining the Shippy last season. Dean Ewing will also be part of the team, with Deano also a full time coach, working alongside Costy at Lumphinnans. Ryan Connor is remaining with the Club in his goalkeeping coaching role.

The Club would like to put on record its thanks to Stuart for all the hard work and effort he put into the job and we wish him well for the future.
