The draw for the preliminary round of the William Hill Scottish Cup saw the Shipyard drawn away to fellow East of Scotland League members Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale FC. Vale qualified for this season’s competition by virtue of winning the East of Scotland Premier Division so the Shipyard will have their work cut out if they wish to progress in the competition. Speaking after learning the draw manager Myles Allan said ” It could have been a better draw for us and on the other hand it could have been a lot worse. Once again it is an away tie but at least we won’t have three hours of travelling like the last few seasons. They are obviously a good side as they won the league by around 15 points or so. I will hopefully get a chance to look at them in the next few weeks”.
