Shipyard announce new management team.

The Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Grant Brough as the manager of Burntisland Shipyard. Grant has agreed to take over the reigns at Recreation Park following Chris Maxwell’s decision to work with the under 20 squad and the recent resignation of Craig Cowan. The Club would like to thank Craig for all the hard work he put in at the Shipyard and wish him all the best for the future. The Club would also like to thank Raymond Drury who stood in as interim manager for the last two matches. Raymond certainly got a tremendous effort out of the players and again we wish him well in the future.

The new manager comes to the Club with a wealth of experience at Junior level having been in charge at Steelend, Dundonald, Sauchie and Glenrothes. Stuart and Paul have both played for the Shipyard in the past and know the Club well. Ryan who has been goalkeeping coach at the club since the start of the season will remain in that role.

Chairman Jim Thomson said “We are delighted to be able to appoint Grant, someone who has a wealth of experience in the game both as a manager and player. Furthermore he has brought in a strong backroom team to assist him as we look ahead with almost a full season in front of us”. Jim went on to say ” I look forward to returning from holiday and working with Grant and his team along with the players that he is looking to bring to the Club. I wish them every success in their new roles at Burntisland Shipyard Football Club”.
