The Shipyard youngsters suffered their first defeat of the season on Sunday when they were knocked out of the Scottish Cup, at the third round stage, when they lost 7-0 away to top Edinburgh outfit Hutchison Vale. Coach David Costello was philosophical after the match and said “I thought the boys played well, we held them for 30 minutes and I don’t think there were seven goals in it. They were a big strong physical side and it’s easy to see why they are one of the top teams in the country. We had a good support with us today and they gave good backing to the boys, which is always appreciated. We can now concentrate on the league and Fife Cup which was our main targets when we started the season”. Next week sees the boys play here at Recreation Park against AM Soccer in the first round of the Fife Cup.
